International Leadership Charter High School Ranks #6 out of all NYC High Schools

Dr. Elaine Ruiz López congratulates the International Leadership Charter High School (ILCHS) community, the School Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees for another successful year. The dedication and support for our charter goals have contributed to our charter high school ranking #6 out of all NYC High Schools, and #2 of all NYC Charter High Schools. The NYC Department of Education recognized the school’s high performance with an “A” rating placing the charter school at the top 1 percent of all high schools in NYC for a second year.

In addition, ILCHS Graduation Rate in June 2013 was 96.2%. According to Dr. Ruiz López, “The majority of ILCHS graduates are from Latino communities whom are first in family to attend college”. Dr. Ruiz López states that as the first community grown Charter High School this was an extraordinary accomplishment given that charter schools of this type, have to accomplish more with less resources.

Our scholars and the ILCHS family are very proud of these achievements. The Board of Trustees and the School’s Leadership are committed to continuing to provide a quality and world class education to all of the students.
