The International Leadership Charter High School (ILCHS) first opened its doors to its first 88 students on September 11th, 2006 as the first of 9-12 public charter high school in The Bronx.
Just three years later, in December of 2012, ILCHS was ranked as the 2nd best performing charter school in New York City, and 7th overall for New York City Public Schools, receiving an A rating from the NYC Department of Education in recognition of its placement in the top 1% of NYC schools.
What’s more, the school boasted a 95% graduation rate, an achievement of tremendous importance to a school that primarily serves students from The Bronx’s Latino communities, many of whom proudly went on to be the first in their family to attend college.
ILCHS’ success has continued to grow, and in 2013 the school was named one of US News & World Report’s “Best High Schools 2013.”
The ILCHS family is very proud of its many achievements so far, and is committed not just to its own upward trajectory, but to that of the community it serves.
