4 Useful Tips for College Students: Are Your books and text books still in transit?

What can you do while you wait for your school books and text books to arrive? Most professors are lenient and give their students a week or two to get the necessary materials/books for the course/ But do you do when a week or two or more have passed and the books you need to start the course have not arrived? Follow these tips and you should be ok.

  1. Speak to your professor and let them know that your books are still in transit: They may give you a week’s extension to get your books and to make up any work that you might have missed.

  1. Go to your campus library: see if they have a reserved copy of the book(s) that you need.

  1. Go online and try to find a free online copy: You can use this copy on your phone or tablet while you wait. (this might not work for textbooks but mostly works for books/novels)

  1. Take a photo: using your camera or scanner, take picture or make copies of the pages that you need from a peer or from the professors textbook.

P.S: Don’t forget to keep track of the books and text books that you have ordered. Keep all necessary and important information at hand. Make a call to the delivery company, (FedEx, UPS, USPS) if necessary. And be aware of the expected delivery date so that you don’t miss your package.
